The Warmth Of The Sun

David Viscott once said, "...to love and be loved is to see the sun from both sides..."

How true this is. However there is a corollary to this. To know how to love and be loved, one must first have known the sorrow and the solitude of loneliness. To enjoy the warmth of the sun, one must first have felt the cold (sic) of the night.

I wish everyone happiness in the midst of their suffering, joy in the midst of their tribulations. For to enjoy the sweet fully, one must first know what the bitter tastes like.

And it's also amazing how true the saying is, it's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all...
