Sadness flies across the water
A thousand I'm Sorrys fill the air
And only silence is heard
In the hurt-filled anger
Only a vacuum of feelings
Where once there had been
Love, laughter, happiness and joy
Only a quicksand of sorrow
Where once there had been
Cheekiness, quips and witty repartee
Such sadness
Oh!
How the air is heavy with it
And it flies, swirls and floats
All across the water
